need for speed

ok, i drive a 96 f-150, short wheelbase with a 5.0 v8 302...and i know that old fords arent exactally made for speed, but i know that through enough customizing you can do anything...i was wondering if anyone had any advice to make my truck smoke any chevys handsdown.

Or just do the big three - Chip - K&N and exhaust. These things will help out quite a bit and if money allows throw in some headers and underdrive pullies and there will be a noticable difference in power. You can do everything mentioned in my post for a little over a grand.
