Scam Alert

i believe i was contacted to sell my rig to someone involved in the scam alert that is posted on this site. the difference was this person claimed to be from uae
the united arab emerites and someone from the states would be his agent. i called fbi and they said this is very likley that this was a scam, after emailimg this person i asked where he was from and where his agent was located, and telling them only us money orders would be accepted, and no transaction finalized until it cleared, they stopped contact. this sale was being made with no questions asked by the buyer other than how to pay, fbi explained that a lot of money has been lost by people here in idaho alone, so imagine how much is lost across the united states. good luck buying and selling, bob

That sounds like a scam to me for sure, and that's why I wouldn't want to sell anything online. Even money orders can be faked, you can't be too cautious when you're selling and dealing with large amounts of money. If something dosen't seem right, it probably isn't.

ive posted this before but ive had that happen to me a guy from so he said new york was actually not in the U.S, anyway he wanted to buy my snowmobile and send me a money order for $700 more than i was asking and told me to send the extra $700 back to him, well i figured it was a scam so i contacted the athorities and they said to get him to send you the money order to see if it was fake and sure enough i got the money order and it was fake, they never could catch the guy cuz they had no idea where he was, i guess you have to watch out for some people.

Frame that MO if they let you keep it. Hang it on the wall to remind people.
