Need some verification here....
Trailer max weight is 7400lbs with 500lbs hitch weight.
I would like to get some feedback to see if I am going to be okay with what I want, and to get some opinions on features.
I am getting ready to order:
F250SD CC SB V10 4X4 Lariat Auto 3.73LS
Now, for the features:
Will order:
Adjustable Gas/Brake (my wife is short)
Tube Cab Steps (just like tubes)
Electric 4X4 Shift-On-The-Fly
Manual Telescoping Trailer Tow Mirrors with Power Glass
Built Ford Tough Trailer Hitch Receiver, 12,500 lbs Capacity
Thinking About Ordering:
Roof Clearance Lights (Anyone that has these think they are worth it?)
Reverse Vehicle Aid Sensor (My wife isn't the best at reverse, what's the common opinion on this?)
Now the real questions, should I get:
Heavy-Service Suspension Package
and/or
Camper Package
Also, looking at all the specs, this truck should tow this trailer with no problems. Anyone have any opinions on that as well?
Thanks,
Flozzie

..........Yes, they look cool...you are driving a SD..you need
to look like it.

..........I have the Reverse sensor..I really like it...I installed a WD hitch to pull a horse trailer..and it sticks out probably 8 inches from the bumper..so I have learned to time the beeps to know when I'm about to cream something with the hitch

I'd opt for the camper package mainly because it gives you the rear sway bar.It also gives you a little heavier front spring.
The Heavy-Service Suspension Pkg.will degrade your ride somewhat and that may outweigh any benefits that you may not need from it anyway.
You may want to look into a 350 vs a 250 because with it the main thing you get is a bit larger tire that has a higher load rating,E vs D.The cost of a 350 over a 250 isn't a whole lot.

It ought to work.If you want max towing power at the cost of some fuel consumption you could go with the 4.30 axle.
Good luck with your purchase and let us know what you decide.
Go also with 4.3 rear for towing. You'll like it better. I've got 3.73 as I drive 90% empty and the rest is with a slide-in camper.
>hills while towing while a gasser will.
V10 "Scream" = music to my ears! I even added an amp (Flowmaster 40).
