I have a 92 Bronco with the 302. I would like to put true duals on it w/o cats, but i do want a muffler. Where could i get this done w/o having to puts the cats back on? Also, for ones that have run this setup, what were the results...which mufflers...size of pipes...etc
that guy that did my exhaust said ford trucks are set up good for dual exhaust. there is plenty of room underneath for 2 pipes.
you can probably get it done at any muffler shop, but i would recommend a shop that specialized in just muffler work. the chain shops may not be willing to do the illegal work(stuff that involves catalytic converter removal) but most will do it for a price.
on mine i have 2.5" dia. pipes, 18" glasspacks and no cats.
it has a good aggressive rumble at idle, and very aggressive and cackly when i rev it up or stick it to the wood.
i have the 351 so i dunno if it will be the same on your 302.
