I am putting my engine back together and am looking for a cam for my 1995 mass air 351 in my F150.
I have a C6 w/stock converter, shorty headers, full exhaust, and 3.55 gears and usually run 33" tires.
I see 65% highway miles and tow a trailer occasionally, as well as run a little mud drag track and trails around where I live.
I am considering picking up a cheap B303 or E303, as I can get one cheap.
Anyone have an opinion on either of these or any other cams?
You will have to match your converter stall speed to the cam that you choose. Wilder grinds will need a pretty high stall speed. Don't even try the "B" or "E" cams with your stock 'verter. The engine will feel very sluggish, like a old sock is stuck in the trottle body or something. The rear gears also need to match the rpm range of the cam. If you don't want to change these stock parts, go with a very mild towing/RV/4x4 type cam for your setup.
