delay wipers
I have got a delay wiper box out of a 80-86 model F150. I am installing it in my 74 F100. The delay doesnt work though.
#1 did they change the control box and wiring for the 80-86 models
#2 I noticed that there are more wires going into the plug than into the control box. Yes I have a good ground.
do I have to get one from a 73-79 truck? What am I doing wrong?

You did install the delay switch too, right?
My delay setup came out of a '86 F150. I installed the switch and control box, plugged in the connectors, attached the ground and all works great.
Then later I ended up swapping the two washer wires to get that to work correctly.
Do your wipers work at all on any settings?

the wipers work on low and high. the wiper comes on in delay, with out the delay though. It jsut stays on low and keeps wiping. the fluid didnt work, but now does. I had it in for a while, but took today see if I have something wrong. I think I will buy a new switch and see if that helps. If that isnt it, I may buy another control box.
