I'm building a 302 for my 4X4 and will be running it on propane. I have a Edelbrock performer intake for a 4 barrel and a efi intake from a late model Lincoln with a a 302Ho . Which will provide more low end ? I can put a propane mixer on either with no problem, I'm leaning towards the efi but I just wonder if anyone actually KNOWS?
thanks
I dont know if you know this....but, If you use the EFI one, you'll have to run all the wiring for the computer and such to make it operable. The carb'd setup will be easier and faster to setup.
I'd have to say that the Edelbrock Performer will be better because it's an aftermarket part. The stock EFI intake that you have is smaller than your stock Mustang EFI intake. The TB is way smaller and the intake runners are smaller I beleive. If you want to go with an EFI intake, go get yourself one from a Mustang.
actually with propane there is no wiring required and I could use a larger throttle body , I wonder which provides the best low end torque ? the runners are obviously much longer on the efi unit which should enhance torgue or why would all the manufactures have gone to that type of manifold from the traditional configuration (my conjecture ) does anyone have figures or know for sure?
