Realignment needed with new tires?

I don't buy tires very often and now that I am due for new set on my '98 F150 4x4, was wondering if the dealer is gonna try to sell my on an alignment too.

I figure it's probably a good idea to have an alignment with the new tires but wanted to ask here first. I've been running the stock 30" tires and plan to put on just slightly larger 31" rubber.

It's been about a year since the last front end job.

Thanks

Mark

I would base my decision on how the old tires are wearing. If the pattern is even I would not bother.

Everytime I put tires on my truck, I always align it. I figgure that if I'm spendin close to $400 then I wanna protect my investment.
but thats just me
