F250 clunk

F250 clunk

my 04 f250 makes a clunk when I began to drive in forward, does anyone have that problem the dealership can't find it

Tell them to lube the slip -joint in the drive shaft!
common problem!

Does this apply for older trucks as well? I have a 2000 F250 PSD 4x4 6 speed, and I get a clunk sometimes just after starting forward, or backwards .

Thanks Yeti. Truck is going in Tuesday for a nasty growl in the front end ( I suspect beearings), so will have the slip joint lubed at the same time [probably the cheapest part of the visit]
