I watched my local auto glass guy while he cut me a new driver's side window. He installed the glass into the channel for me, using the rubber tape.

Anyway,
He used a rubber mallet to tap it in, but he tapped carefully against a block of wood to "distribute the blow" as he put it.

I had the glass for my truck done smoked for all windows except the front for $165 and the glass guy will install it for another $40. I do not know about you guys but I think that is incredible and yes that included the vent windows. Ed

I am going to find out on the tinted glass pricing for the doors of my 60 from my dad this week as I need new glass for my 2nd 60, I ts not ready for glass yet but this thread has me thinking. I will find the price's and get some this week and let everyone know what happens on this.

Yes, I know. My truck will not be ready for glass for at least 3 months but I have it stored at the glass store until it is ready. And its paid for except the installation. One thing I do not have to worry about. Ed
