Want to change stock stabilizer for after market stabilizer, I have Rancho 9000 shocks with red boots, looking for stabilizer to match. I been looking at Rancho but can't find any for my 1975 F-250 4x4. Anyone know of anywhere that sells them? [ good ones]
Hey thanks for any help....Have a great New Year...!!
I ordered a steering stabilizer for my 77, f250 from a company I can't mention here. I have almost completed my ps conversion over to a 78-79 ps box. The draglink has that eyebolt on it where the slave cylinder was mounted so i figured I would mount the stabilizer to that hole in the eyebolt. In the catalogue it shows pics of a stabilizer for the 78-79 , f250, 4x4's and it is mounted to the same hole as the slave cylinder was on my 77.
Well, as it turns out , the stabilizer is actually a unit made by Monroe. #sc2914, 22-1942-0 are the numbers on one end of the box. Here they are for the other end 45-2316. The eye hole on the draglink maybe alittle large but I should beable to find something to fix that without any problem. This Monroe Unit is made here(USA) and seems to be a well made ........s.kuteman
My steering stabilizer is made by Silver E, got it at the local Les Schwab, it is white, and I also bought a red boot from the parts store. I got an extra sticker with my Rancho shocks that I put on my stabilizer, and no one but me and whoever reads this post will know the difference.
Hey thanks alot guys for the info, I knew I could find out what I needed on this forum!! Thank you everyone for your help all year!! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!
