New motor
I am pretty new to this site, but I am liking it!!! I have 1990 f150, blew motor while back. My mechanic buddy put me new(new to me) rebuilt 302 from 65 mustang in. Took a lot of doing I'm told. He had to change pan, water pump, make brackets so my pump for my eldebrock and carb could be put on, redo hoses, etc. Anyway, got it back today runs pretty good! It has a little exhaust leak it sounds like, which is no biggie cause I plan on putting headers and nice exhaust, repainting, nice rims(restoring). My question is since I have older mustang motor, do I refer to thatm or ny model when hooking headers on. Don't want to put shorties, or whatever on and find out I have problem. Could someone please help? 1990 f150 in restoration!!!

tell them it has a 1990 f150 with a 302 the exhaust ports are all the same it's just you have to get the right headers for the body and frame style or the headers may not fit in the engine compartment. also tell them what kind of tranny it is so the headers can clear the linkage and bellhousing
