300 starting problems

I started my truck (78 F100 300-6) today after it sat for about a month. When it started it had a bad miss. I shut it off and when I tried to restart it, it drained the battery instantly. I replaced the starter, thinking it was that, but the problem is still there. Is the miss and the instant battery drain connected?

Thanks for any help.

I had a similar problem, check for loose cables on the starter. Also it doesnt hurt to pop the starter off and clean it up a little with some residue free brake cleaner. Hope it helps some

The battery might have died just from sitting for a month, especially if it was older.
Maybe the choke is stuck, how long has the gas been in the tank maybe it has started to go bad.
