burnt out 144
ive got an old 1960 144 ci straight 6 and evertime i fix one thing somethin else goes wrong, i replaced the battery, carb., brakes, fuel line spark plugs, ect and now it wont start even with a new battery, please someone tell me what the deal is....

Won't start or won't turn over? If it won't turn over and it's a new battery I would look at the starter or solenoid. If it's turning over and won't start put a clear fuel filter right before the carb to make sure your getting fuel and take some plugs out and make sure your getting spark.

it wont turn over at all , all it does is click like the starter isnt engagin. ill try takin out the plugs tomorow, i gotta get new points and wires while im at it...thanks

When you replaced the battery did you get the cables on good and do they look good, if it's clicking it might just not be getting a good enough connection to the battery, this might also be the solenoid.
