My airbag indicator has been blinking for some time now. It's a pattern is 3 blinks pause and then 2 blinks. It repeats ad finitum.
Where can I find the code descriptions?
A code 32 is a bad clock spring. Do a search for code 32 or bad clock spring and you will get alot of results. A new clock spring is about $100 at a Ford dealership just for the part.
Some of the cheaper manuals (Haynes, Chilton, etc) could have them but I know the factory manual does.
My Mustang has a blinking airbag light and my Ford manual says which component is bad and how to troubleshoot/fix it.
I HIGHLY recommend getting access to a factory manual because airbags can be dangerous and expensive if you do the wrong thing. The Ford manual will tell you how to deactivate the system and when to do it. Some fixes are easy but others are listed with many tests that should be done in a specific order. Don't just replace stuff, wire and connectors can be the culprit.
So for an airbag light don't just replace components until you have checked everything in that circuit, and above all BE CAREFUL.
I'm sure someone on this site has a factory manual but make sure you get the whole test procedure for your number of flashes and also get all of the deactivation infor.
