Miles ?? that could help decide value. Plus what kind of use has it had ? Farm ?? City ?? Construction ??
The easiest way is do a Kelly Blue Book online PLUS also do a Carfax. Trucks can have a tougher history then cars.
Why also is it for sale ? Individual ? Dealer ???
Propbably a good truck with less then 100,000 should sell for $7,500 to the price your getting in EXCELLANT condition which means once you buy it you won't have to spend a DIME on it for anything necessary like TIRES etc. a year or so

Yea, the note says he has extra tires too. Looks like a work truck, but not that type for work, but the kind for going to and from work, if u know what I mean. I don't know the miles, but the guy drives it everyday. I can't buy it, but if someone is interested, I can dig more into it for them.

$12,040 RETAIL. Which it's not worth. YOU need to look at real money which is TRADE VALUE on Kelly Blue Book that will help establish the real dollar value of the vehicle plus then you add a little profit for the seller. Trust me anything abouve TRADE VALUE is a gift for an older truck in today's BUYER'S MARKET.

What does Extracab mean? Is that the same as an extended cab or is it a 4-door?
If it's an extended cab and you decide not to get it, let me know. We're looking for a F250, extended cab, long bed, 4x4, diesel, preferrably standard shift but automatic would be okay. Haven't seen anything that year for that low a price in our search.

My question is why is he selling a work truck still in good condition, especially a diesel that as an option cost $4,000 extra when he bought it new. Have the cash ready to deal and make an offer $100 over trade in value from KBB.
Just remember, a diesel engine that explodes after you buy it will cost $4,000+ to repair. I would deduct the cost of a transmission rebuild from whatever the value of the truck (if automatic) and have it done when I bought the work truck.
