Hello, Does anyone know the size of the Front and Rear speakers in a 2000 F350? I would like to have the speakers before I take off the panels. Thanks Al
I just replaced all 4 also. I went with MB Quart speakers. Great sound through all volume levels. Not the cheapest, but then again it depends on how crazy you want to get with your stereo system. I added a Pioneer 7500 receiver and 12-CD changer, a Kicker 8" subwoofer and Kicker 800watt amp in a custom, vented box, and crossovers. I went a little nuts I guess, but I like it.
Thanks for the replies!!! I installed 6x8 Inifinity's they sound great. NOW I think I might look at stereo replacement. Any suggestions? Looking at Alpine.
Thanks Al
I kept the factory radio which has the cd, tape and am/fm. Went with a Sony 500 watt amplifier that has crossover and such. The installer put it under the front middle (20%) seat. Put in wires to go to a subwoofer if i want in the future. It sounds pretty damn good. Decided to get a sleeper seat/sofa bed to replace the rear seat so the woofer idea is nixed, but i can sleep on those horsey hauls to the east coast now. rimshoes
Rimshoe, if you want a good sub for under the front middle seat I would go with a 10" JL sub, I did it and it sounds great. I have Polk audio in all my doors and I put some Polk tweeters on the doors (actually in the black pieces that are on the top front of the doors) Overall sounds great.
Well I'm not rimshoes but you can find them through any JL Audio dealer, they are around 400 dollars with the sub already in it and yes they are customised specifically for your year of truck. They take out your cushioning on your "seat" and use the covering of your seat to cover the box. The seat portion of it is pretty much like sitting on a covered box. The back/center console stays and goes up and down. Everything looks like factory.

Thanks for the reply bdjupiter, but what I was asking about was the sleeper/sofa that rimshoes mentioned. I had seen one a while back on ebay. I haven't been able to find one since.
Hello Smokin: The rear seat thing is called a "sofa bed". The manufacturer is out of Texas. They require you to have a shop that sells their products in your town. When i ordered mine, i was on the phone with the lady in the manufacturers plant. She made absulutely sure that i was ordering the EXACT fabric that i have for my rear seat. They do leather and cloth that is used by ford. The seat is very similiar to the rear seat you now have. When you need a place to crash on a long trip you simply pull the bottom part forward and you have a bed as the back of the seat fold down. The cloth one cost me about 750 bucks for the deluxe model. They are easy to install and gauranteed for several years. If you need the phone number i find it for ya and they will tell you where a shop is near you. rimshoes.
SBFD,
I've got an Alpine in mine, sounds great with the amp, the Polk and Aura 5x7's, and an MTX 10" sub, but the head unit is going to depend on your personal preference. I preferred my Kenwood, but eventually ran into some problems with an over sensitive laser, and CD's began to skip, not common from what I hear, but Circuit City dumped the high end Kenwood line, so I grabbed the Alpine. Best advice I can give you is decide who has the bells and whistles you want, because they all sound close enough. The high end Pioneers are great for extras, and their organic el display is great for those sunny days when you can't see the face on the others, but the $700 price tag was more than I could dish out at the time.
