Good Lord, I never realized how many of us youngin's there are here. I myself am 20, look 23 (I'm really hairy, have been since I was 15, you should see my back), and act either 8, 13, or 35. I'm 8 when around children, 35 around old people, and 13 the rest of the time. My Mom always gives me a hard time for not wanting to grow up and always wanting to run with a younger crowd. I guess she was right, seeing as I volunteer my time on sunday evenings at church as a junior high youth leader.
I am 23 going on 24 in September. I pay all my own payment, insurance, rent, bills, ect... I am getting married in August but have lived with the girl for going on 2 years now. Before this I had a brand new 99 Ranger and yes I did all of the same on it. I know what you guys feel like either people say "must be nice to have mommy and daddy paying your way through life." or you drive by some 40yr old trash in there 1970's rust bucket and they just glare at ya.
You guys scare me, I'm 52 and on my third 250. You guys need a life or wife or girlfriend or something. Sure I love my SD. It does all I ask of it and then some. It runs the beach a hundred times a year taking me fishing and to work each day with a 2,000 lb payload. I park it at the end of the day and don't dream about it. Maybe just maybe when your my age you'll appreciate you SD because it's just better than the rest after 8 new trucks IMO. A truck to me is a vehicle that gets the job done period, no frills, no excuses and definitely not just a Sunday driver and I've found that in my SD's, but I don't sleep with it? I guess if I was younger I might have you thoughts on your new truck. Trimman
I dug up this "old" post to inform any interested and curious readers here about my maturity ,(chronological),status.
Well,it took 40yrs.to arrive at this point in my life,DOB 10/24/62 .I've had my ups and downs like everyone else, but if I had to do the past 40 over again I'd do it in a hertbeat. Both good and bad.
I still dislike school at this age about as much as I did as a younger "kid",although I do put more effort into nowadays.
I turned thirty Tuesday, but these posts remind me of a Firemen's inside joke: My teacher asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I said "A fireman!" she said, "Well, you can't do both."
This is the first new four wheeled vehicle I bought, always thought a Pinto and a Ducati sounded like priorities in the right place before now!
Just turned 17 (happy birthday me Probably the youngest one on the board who owns a :
2002 F-350 Lariat 7.3L PSD, camper package, tow package, super cab, single rear wheel, long bed, leather, 4X4, off road, .......am i forgetting anything? lol
Got it when I was 16, what got me "into" the trucks, was a neighbor of mine has a 95 PSD F-350, as well as a 2001 Excursion PSD. I got tired of hearing their diesels start up every morning at 5 AM, so now I have my own to blast back at them
Love the PSD !

Well Happy Belated BDAY to you also, when I was your age I walked uphill both ways in the snow with no shoes, we didn't have cars.
I figure I would give you some of that old guy crap before Monsta and them got here.
When I was 17 I was already racing late models for 2 years and had a bunch of kool toys. Now, I only have a few cool toys, but I have a wife, who can spend my money better than I can, I'm surely blessed!!
(Now that I think of it, I think Im still better at it than her, but would never say so)
