Copper_90680,

I hate to be a pain, but I would really like to get my door open this weekend. Before I turn the door into Swiss Cheese, I'd really like to know where you drilled that hole. Is the idea to be able to hold the actuator bar against the outside of the door with a punch? Or to pull it toward the inside of the car with some kind of hook? In other words, what's bent and which way? There's a round access port that the white nylon thing locks into, and I understand that's kind of a clip for the rod to ride in, and then there's an oval hole on the back inside of the door which doesn't seem to give access to anything. Where does the hole get drilled in relation to those two landmarks?

Thanks.

It had been a very long time since I did that. After I come home tonight, I'll take the pannel out and take a picture. Meanwhile, you need to click on my alias and send me an e-mail message. Send anything, even the weather, just so I can get your e-mail address, and I'll e-mail the pictures back to you. Don't post your-email address here, since Dave "the terminator" will remove it.

The rod on my van was bent outward (toward the inside of the car), so I had to push against it from the outside, if I recall correctly.

Regards
