Visiting Phoenix

Hi,

I'm in Phoenix from January, 9th, 2004 for a business trip.
I want to visit some good places in my freetime so here are some questions, maybe you can give some tips:

Are there some interesting places to visit in Phoenix?
Where are the best shopping malls?
How cold/warm is it in January?

Thank you for each advise....

Jens

There are several Malls around the Phoenix area!
The Scottsdale Fashion Sqaure. (Very Large) 7014 East Camelback Rd. The Arizona Biltmore 2502 East Camelback(Upscale & Trendy Mall) The Arizona Center Downtown. ( I liked this one!) The Fiesta Mall on US60 and Alma School Rd. Also the Arizona Mills Mall and the Camelback Colonade. Some have large parking garages. Dont forget where ya parked! ( I do that stuff!)
As for tempeture mid 60's to low 70's is what I found when I was there. I lived in the Flagstaff area and plan to return someday. I live in upstate NY right now. Phoenix is nice in the Winter! As for places to see that would be up to your own interests!
Have agood trip!

there is also metro center in northern Phoenix on the corner of Peoria and Interstate-17, thats your average run of the mill mall, I prefer Arizona Mills mall. you can see a "Suns" basketball game, or a "Coyotes" hockey game. you might ask your hotel clerk for some more information

Hi,

thank you very much for your advise. I Think the Arizona Mills Mall is the way to go, because I have a Hotel nearby.

One question, how far is it to Tuscon and is it worth to visit the hm...how should I name....the airplane junkyard? I've seen something 'bout that place in the TV.

Thanks again, I'm loocking forward to visit one of my favorite States next week - Arizona

Hi guys and gals,

I be back in Germany. On this way I wanna thank all people I met for their hospatlity.
Arizona i a very nice place to stay and I'm looking forward to vistit AZ again.
For all who what to know:
I went to the Grand Canyon, to Tuscon (Pima Air Museum) and a lot in the area of Phoenix, Tempe and Mesa. I Mesa unfortunately the Air Museum was closed, but I catched a little view to the old B 17 Airplane - great.
One very interesting place is Eloy, a drop zone for skydiver. Is any skydiver here?
I spent a lot of money in the Arizona Mill Mall , which was beside my Hotel, the Amerisuites.

The only mistake was my car, a 04 C.... Impala, oh man, what a crap.....sure, it brings you from point A to B, but next time it is for sure to rent a Ford

so thank a lot for the expirience I got....
