If you start your truck with the doors open, does the dome light go off? Seems to me that the light should stay on until the doors close. I just noticed mine shuts off when the key is turned. Kind of a pain when you are still trying to buckle the kids in.
Since I got no response, should I assume that I am the only one that reaches in and starts his truck (warms up faster) and then buckles the kids in? Do all SD domelights turn off with the key and not with the doors or do I have something hosed up?

Mine goes out too
Just read your post or else I would have responded sooner. I hadn't really thought about it but I did notice just the other day that my interior light does go out after a certain time with the door left open. I haven't tried this but if you need the light to stay on try manually turning it on using the interior light brightness adjuster on the dash right below the headlight switch. I believe if you rotate it all the way down it manually picks up the interior light. Hope this helped.
