Hey all,
I just purchased a brand-new 2004 ford explorer xlt. I accidentally switched to 4wd High while i was stopped at a stoplight as i was reaching over to turn on my radio. Could this have damaged my 4wd system?
Originally posted by JeremyH In fact, why dont you go find yourself some nice big *** rocks and test out your 4wd system to make sure nothing was damaged.
If you didnt hear anything twist or grind you'll be all right. (You shouldn't have anyways since you were stopped). In the manual it just says dont engage above 50 (i think) But if you want to be sure bring it over and ill test it for ya
