Exclamation dimmer swithc HELP!

Well, I have come to the point at which I must wire up my dimmer switch

I'm using the stock one with Ron Francis wiring kit.

Now, the Ron Francis kit comes with a Harness that's meant for GM column mounted switch, so the harness obviously wont fit on to the stock Ford one.

The wires are, blue (says it goes to the panel, I beleive it's the 12v wire) then the other 2 go to each headlight, 1 is low beam, 1 is high beam (wired in parallel).

Now, on the switch there is 3 posts, 1 has a B and the other 2 says nothing. I did continuity and with 1 lead on the B post all the time, you get continuity through one of the other posts, depending on pressing the dimmer switch in. So is the B post 12v and the other 2 are for the beams? This seems like a question I just answered for myself, but want to make sure.

I think most Ford foot switches are the same, but I have a schematic for my '48.

Sounds like you talked your way thru it. If you need additional info, here's what I have.

With the switch held so the button you step on is straight up, you should find three contacts in a triangle.

Middle top should be the connection for the power from the light switch. Lower right post should be the low beam connection. Lower left is the high beam connection (if it has 2 wires, one goes to the dash for the hi-beam indicator light)
