I belong to another website that organized a group purchase for them. ART will do group purchases.
I got F/R rotors and pads for $590. They are TRW rotors that have been cryo-ed (scientifically frozen) and slotted. (no holes)
I'll have to read up on the Group Purchase rules here on FTE again. Maybe something can be organized...
This is how a truck should stop! These are awesome binders now! Excellent initial bite, linear and progressive. No more wooden feel.
The stockers were full of hot spots and basically falling apart when I remvoed them. Good riddance!

This is great news. I have been searching for better stopping
power for this large beastie since I first drove it home. Please
let us know how some of us who have expressed interest can do a
group purchase here on the forum.

I am sure all who see this and who have experienced the "oh ***** HOW am I gonna
stop in time before I hit this <insert large immovable object here> ??!!!!!
" would be in on an order. BTW, about how much
did a group order save you versus ordering on your own??
Thanks for the info. on your new binders!

Yes. All you need are pads and rotors. No other special hardware is needed.
>How long did it take you to replace them? (I am only semi-mechanically inclined
) I used hand tools. It took about 3 hours. Now, much of that time was spent cussing at my right rear wheel as it was almost impossible to remove! grrrr...
You'll need a 21mm socket for the front. The rear is 18 and for the driver's side you'll need a deep socket. Have a breaker bar and a BFH handy.

As for cost difference, our rate was $590 (Plus S/H. Mine was $70 UPS). Retail is $780. :-)
All four corners.
>Are the stock calipers sufficent??
I think that the stock calipers rock! Dual piston calipers all the way around.
One of the things that drew me to these trucks!
>I seem to have a habit of spending my $$$$ on things that
>make it GO!
I was thinking the same thing 4x4x4x4!!!
Also, I thought that's why they made imports , kinda like a added cusion to stop my truck!
