Brake pads

Well it is getting time to put on new brake pads. I was thinking of trying ceramic pads.. does anyone have any input ??

ceramic brake pads

i have tried these,as well as carbon performance,with mixed results.this was on my 98 explorer that i use to deliver mail with.the pads lasted pretty good,and didn'tseem to be affected by heat buildup.the only downside was they ate in to the rotors somthing feirce.these were ford top grade rotors,not 19.99japaneese specials.when i went to change the pads ther was a ridge built up on the edge at least 3/16 of deep,it was so deep i had to clean it up with a die grinder to make it possible to turn the rotors.

Brake pads are way cheaper than rotors or drums. I do use carbon metalic pads for the water resistance though. I just stay light on the brakes to compensate for the extra friction.
