Dee Zee Tool Box
i can paint to match my truck, a Dee Zee platinum tool box? i was thinking of getting the black one and have an auto body shop paint it to match my truck. like the brite tread but dont feel like looking at the oxidation 3 years down the road. i have never seen it done but i figuered someone would have an educated answer to this. anyone know of a cheap place to get one.....these things are freakin expensive!

EBay or swap meets are usually cheapest. Sometimes see them for sale in local papers, truck trader, etc.

I recall a post here on FTE where a guy said he was going to have his tool box sprayed the same as his spray-on bedliner... for durability and to match the bed's interior. Another option with good durability is to have it powder-coated black.
Just plaintin' the seed of a thought or two...
