i've got a 76 f150 and found a nicer 76 f250 i can buy. it sounds like the good old highboys are a smidge nicer to have than 1/2 tons, but what are all ya'll's opinions? the 250 also has teh little storage door in the bed (is this rare?). i'm trying to decide if i should sell the 150 for the 250 and i just need a nudge in opinion either way.
thanks

some mudding, some farm work, drive it for fun. not for sure, but i'm guessing the 250's got the 360 (as does my 150). both trucks are/would-be projects...are highboys worth more in general?
i'm a college kid who works on anything (especially these trucks) for fun/hobby.

I would base my decision on what's more important to me... the higher payload and tougher components in a 250... or a 150 rides smoother and is easier on the wallet when replacing parts.
I really like my 150 but I just broke my first u-joint in the D44...
unless the truck is an F350 Super Camper Special, the door is a tool box, I love mine. the Super Camper had the wheels farther back in the bed/frame, so the spare wouldn't fit in the normal place, and there is a bigger door in front of the right rear wheel, where the spare lives.
you have no idea how much i'd love to do that, but...i'm on a college budget and i don't have much space left to store my toys
maybe i could just take out more loans for college and buy the truck...thanks for the idea
