new tachometer

Yea a friend of mine gave me a tachometer and I was thinking on how to put it on, I think on my fuel injected I hook up to the distrepter cap is this right?

All you need to do is hook the green to the negative side of the coil (Which should be the towards the front of the truck on your engine) and then run the red to a constant 12V, the white to the illumination fuse, and the black to a ground.
