under body rust
I have a1994 F-150, the problem I'm having is the under sides of my truck are rusting some thing bad. On a trip yesterday the convertor shields came off, the radiator support is missing the lower six inches on the drivers side.
But the body is in pefect shape. Is this the norm,Iv've own the truck since new.

Well if you live in UP michigan id imagine road salt is the culprit.
depending on how much is rusted and how bad it is you might need to start replacing some of the metal, or you can knock off the loose stuff, wire brush it and use something like POR 15. ive got some on the bed of my chebbie pickup and has been on there a year and a half, with no fading, and importantly, no rust.
