Painting a plastic grill?

Can you paint the gray plastic grill to match your truck? If so what kind of paint should I use? What steps do I need to take to make a great looking job? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Fitter

Just get some paint specially made for platics. Take the grille out, wash it, let it dry, and paint it in a dry, warm place.

When painting, take your time. haste makes waste (sounds gay but it really works). Also add a nice clear-coat. when you stand back and look at it in the sunlight you'll be reeeeel happy. hope this helps

Consider adding some flex additive to repel rock chips et al.

I just sanded/primed/painted my plastic grill a few months ago with the same paint/primer as the rest of the truck.

Seems to do fine.

The plastic is pretty stiff so don't know that it actually flexes much.
