Looking for some prayers this Christmas
Looking for some prayers this Christmas
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope your Christmas is going better than mine. My aunt was diagnosed with a form of cirrhosis of the liver about 7 years ago. (Not from drinking because she does not drink) Anyhow she's done very well up until two days ago. She was admitted into the hospital with internal bleeding. The doctors tried to stop the bleeding and were unable to. Last night at 10 pm they had to rush her to the University of MN hospital because she was losing to much blood. Long story short, she went into surgery this morning at 9 a.m. and will not be out until about 3 this afternoon. They have to go in and re-route one of her veins that is bleeding through the liver to stop it because they can not cauterize this particular vein. We're all pretty freaked out and i'm looking for all the thoughts and prayers i can get for her and my family! If you could all take some time and pray for us today i would greatly appreciate it!
You have my prayers too - I'll be "stormin Heaven" for all of you, especially your Aunt. Just keep your faith strong - He does listen & answer us! God Bless!

I can't pray for you and your family. But I can offer my blood.
If my O- will help her, she can have all of it she needs. Just tell me where to go and who to see. I can be on an airplane tomorrow morning.
Fuzzy.

Thanks everyone! The surgery went well for the most part. She's doing better right now but is still not in the clear!
Fuzzy, no need to fly up here to give your blood, but thanks for the offer you're the greatest!!!

#2 - I'm not the greatest, I'm a nut case.
But if she needs me tomorrow you holler, and I'll be on my way!
Thanks fuzz i'll keep that in mind! I guess there is some good to this, not really but kind of. Each time she has internal bleeding from her veins "leaking" it moves her up higher on the transplant list. She's still on the bottom but every little bit she moves up is wonderful! It's hard to not sit here and wonder why it happend at Christmas....maybe because all of the family was here for Christmas....i guess we'll never know!
Read this post a tad late in the evening, so I missed out on prayer during her surgery, but as I do every night, I speak a few words to the Lord before falling asleep, so I will include her in tonights thoughts.
I have some kind of a liver condition that the Dr's are watching. Been through all kinds of tests and nothing has been gained. My liver is still at an elevated functioning level. I think it's because of taking a certain pain med for so many years, but that hasn't been a choice I could refuse. Either take the meds and function a reasonably normal life or don't and lay on the couch in pain, not having even the ability to go to the "library" without excruciating pain.
My whole point is that someday farther along, I will probably be in her position............and I'm not looking forward to it one bit.
May God Bless you and your family on this most wonderful of days.
