390 ???

im trying to find out where the block code is on my 390...can anyone help???

The casting number is on the passenger side towards the front.

he should be able to get casting numbers off about any part on the engine and there is a date code on the block by the oil filter underneath.

i forgot to mention it and since 1978 bronco is a new member. The casting numbers work like d2te. Where as d stands for the 70's decade and c is for the 60's. 2 is the year. so 1972 or so would be the year for that casting.

They stopped with the FE in 76 so if it is in his bronco it is not original.

I got a local guy tryin to tell me that he drove a 85 ford dump with a 428FE in it. Wont beleive me that he is Full of &*()

I thought they stopped prod on the FE block in 76?
