I was wondering if anyone could tell me about code 25? Assuming you can get the code from the number of blinks. It blinks twice, then a pause, then five more.
I don't recommend working on it all unless you have had some training. Messing up here could cause the air bag to inflate at any time. A constant on or flashing light definately means there is a fault. Call a mechanic or dealership.
I dont know what code 25 is but if it turns out to be a deactivation switch problem ( like my '27' was), replacing the switch is a trivial operation, at least in my '98 SC. I do agree that you should be cautious when working on any AB system component however.
It was about $70, so dont do it unless that is for certain the problem. Ken does seem to have stated as much however. I just stayed out of the way of the airbags while i did it, crawled under the steering wheel to do the work, just in case..
