my dog seems to feel the need to get food from her dish in the kitchen, walk into the living room with it, and set it on the floor in front of you while you are watching tv or eating, and sometimes leaves it there....
she also runs straight to her dishes to check then EVERY time she walks back into the house....
My dog goes to her bowl; gets a mouthful runs to the the livingroom couch drops it out of her mouth; and eats it . she will do this untill she is full; unless I ask her if she wants more ,then she barks and I bring her a handful'
my dog did the same when it was hungry it would grab its dish and bring it to me, and when it wants outside he scratches on the door and when he wants back in he scratches on the door and barks, when you ask him if he wants to go bye bye he junps around and runs to the nearest vehicle. nice dog, i dont know what i would do without him.
lol yup my dog did the same, she'd bring a mouthfull to the living room to eat it, then go back for more. I thought she was the only one who did that, wonder why they do it?
i have three dogs and they all do that one of my dogs ( a shepard/golden retriever mix) will get betweeen me and my old lady in bed and try to push her out of bed
the chow has to sleep at the bottom of the bed with her head on someones feet and the pug gets chased by the cats here
the bigger dogs know how to turn on the faucet in the kitchen with their snout to get water.. too bad they cant turn it off again when therye done. and all of em know how to steal the cat food lol
ive had dogs that did that.... I have a beagle who sneeks to the catfood bowl, shovels half the bowl into her mouth and runs. it usually gets chewed on the way to wherever shes going.... its amazing how much she can cram oin her mouth so fast..
my big dog has a nylon food bowl and she thows it at you. She gets a good grip whips her head sideways and launches that 2 pound bowl in the air, so if you see her with it DUCK. sometimes the will raise her head and throw it on your foot. not drop, she puts force into it..it HURTS.
I had a blonde german sheapard who would take ONE kibble at a time and walk it to another room and eat it. it would take her an hour to eat a bowl of food.
my dog does the food thing, takes one piece outa the bowl and wlaks into the living room, eats it then goes back for another
she also checks her food and water bowl whenever she comes back into the house, also she will dip her paw in the water before she will drink. she just dips it in and then back out, kinda wierd. she climbs into bed with us and will get between my wife and i and push me away, she is the wierdest pomeranian i have ever seen.,
My dog will pick up her bowl when she wants something in it. If you're not there to see the specticle, she'll bring it to were you are. Its quite pathetic. Kind of a "may eye haf more grewl sir?" orphan type pathetic.
My 11lb miniature daschund will pee when she meets new people, but she is starting to finally stop doing that after 7 years. Also, when she eats, she will grab a peice of food, and then run all the way across the living room to her kenel and eat it. Then she will run back for more, and do it over again. Also, she will bang her metal bowls together to let us know they are empty. I guess I am not the only one with a quirky dog.
Dawg does the food thing, mouthfull at a time into the living room, drops it on the floor, eats it, back for more. When She has her fill, she sits down, looks at me or my wife then looks at the clock, then back at us. We know then it's time for her to go outside. Sometimes I guess I'm a little too slow for her, when I get up to let her out she will walk behind me, pushing at my legs with her nose, at least I hope thats what she's doing.
My old dog did that, I miss her. She had to get put to sleep When I am ready for antoehr pet I will get a Golden Retriever. NO CATS I would like to have a lab also, but my gal wants a golden retriever, and I have had two. Great Dogs, Smart, beautiful...good with kids. Yall make me sad.
They are alone all day and very much enjoy eating with you. They see you eat with the pack (family at the table) and assume it is how they should do it also. A sign they are comfortable with you, when they bring food into your pack (living room).
It is a good thing
I have two beagles. They both try to bury their chew toys in the yard to hide them from each other. Every time it rains and gets real muddy out, someone always gets the idea to dig one up and sneak it in through the dog door and set it down on my white carpet!! The last time it happened, I kept throwing it outside and they kept bringing it back in. Finally, I just gave up, shortly thereafter, they lost interest in the game!
