We have 4 Boston Terriers. The oldest one can"t hear but she knows sign language real good. The females (3) all grab a bite and bring it to the living room. The male eats at the bowl. Casey wants food in the bowl at all times even when she's not hungry and will push it around the kitchen untill some body fills it up and then she walks away. After we finish dinner they know its biscuit time and if we forget they remind us. Ya want to say SPOILED!
Growing up I had a cocker spaniel. He was the first of the litter and dumb as a box of rocks, but he was incredibly loyal. He would do this thing with cornbread that was hilarious. He would take a piece, and disappear with it. We followed him one day and watched him walk down the side of the creek, then walked out into the creek and would walk in the creek back up and bury the cornbread. I guess he wasn't that dumb after all, unless you count the time he got left in a junk VW bug for 2 days, watching us all drive ourselves crazy trying to find him. He never barked once, I found him when I was walking by the car and saw him staring at me. Stupid dog, but oh how I miss him.
BuiltToughF250....I feel your pain. I have a female Boxer that does the same thing. She will leave a trail of food from her bowl that extends all the way out to the living room. Drives me crazy!
Our family's Border Terrier used to get food out of her bowl (on the linolium floor) and carry it over to the carpet in front of the door. We always thought it was cause the carpet was warmer on the paws!
We've got a female Boxer that stays out during the day. When we let her in at night she goes straight to the cat's bowl, eats all his food then starts on hers. Needless to say, the cat hates the dog.
