I was just wondering if you can just order the y-pipe assembly for the v10 2004 f350. I was looking under the truck the other day and noticed how restricted it was. Can I just order a better y-pipe that will bolt right in. If any body has some information on that or have changed there y-pipe themselves let me know. Also I think that I want to keep my stock manifolds, but if I need to change them to headers to put the new y-pipe on then that is an option I might have to do. But if there is a company that makes just the y-pipe then that would be better for me. Thanks guys.
You can go to your local performance exahust installer and they will install a new Y-Pipe for you. I went to Speedway muffler by my house and got a new Y-pipe for $150.
I have the 04' V-10, and the Y-pipe is still very restricted where they connect together, only looks like about 1 3/4" compared to the larger 2.5 pipe,(approx.) rest of the Y-pipe. How the heck does that necked-down bit, help the torqe ??
