Fog Lights

I want to put some fog lights on my 1999 F150 Lariat. The light controls already have the switch for fog lights, however the truck did not come with them. Does ford make the light kits to fit with my exsiting front bumper, or do I need to replace it. It currently has the original grey bumper.

thanks

Surprising that you have the switch but not the lights. I believe they were standard on the Lariat. Wonder if it was repaired without replacing them.

The Ford accessory foglight kit includes a new valence and switch. I think it costs about $300.

I'll check w/ford in reference to the light kit.

You can't determine that your switch is foglight-ready because it pulls out slightly. While that action is required to activate the factory fogs, it also is required as part of the switch disassembly operation, therefore ALL switch ***** have that back-and-forth movement built in.

I 2nd the above.

You may be able to a after market air dam with the fogs already in it.

thanks F=250...that is right, but the wires are not hot...as it turns out the switch is mechanically the same but it lacks the internal parts to work. The switch has to be replaced with one that supports fogs (part # SW-5262). I found another forum on here after my post....

Hi and welcome to the forum

Does the fog light indicator lamp on the switch light up when you turn the fog lights on? Fuse 27 under the dash is for that.
Fuse 9 under the hood is also for the fog lights.

There is a little fog light indicator to the left of the headlight switch ****. With the headlights turned on, and on low beam, and the **** pulled, the indicator should light up.
