Requesting Truck Info.
Can anyone help me get some info about my F-250?
The VIN is 1FTNW21P83EC81578
I just bought a F-250 Lariat 4wd with 6.0 and manual transmission and so far I LOVE IT!
This truck is incredible! I just hope I don't have any of the problems I have read about in some of the threads.
I am concerned that the engine has the C94 injectors, and that the "bugs" that existed in the "early" production models may exist in my truck
Any info. that anyone can provide me would be greatly appreciated.

you do have an early build '03 with c94 injectors, you have not had any of the flashes performed, if you are not having issues, do not have any flashes done yet...How many miles do you have on it?

I only have about 500 miles on the truck. There is a sticker on the underside of the hood in the front. The authorized service sticker says "PRM Reprogrammed" October 31, 03. The penmanship is not the greatest, but it looks like "PRM", or maybe "PEM".
Do you have any idea what this is?
If my truck is early production am I likely to experience problems with the computer? I read some threads last spring that said the computer was mounted on top of the turbo and this had negative effects. Is this true? and if so, is this the case with my truck?
Finally, and this seems a stupid question, but if the injectors foul what will I see in my truck?

A: should read pcm, stands for powertrain control module
B: not true
C: oil level rising - ck every 200-300 miles

Truck now at 1500 miles and no problems. Engine build date is March 28, 2003 and truck was built in April. Mileage is 17-18 city and 20 highway, unloaded.
When I asked the mechanic at my dealer about the injectors he said it had the c95 injectors, but I am questioning this since you checked and found it had the c94's.

Well thanks again, that certainly takes a load off my mind. I had hoped they were putting the new injectors in the late March built engines.
How can I get a copy of the materials list for my truck? Can i request it from Ford?
I'm really impressed with this truck compared to my Dad's Dodge and my Brother-in-law's Chevy. The Dodge has a lot of power for a gas engine, but my Dad is now on his 4th transmission. The Chevy rides comfortably, but I get the feeling it's not meant to be off the pavement. More like a car than a truck.
