Future PSD Owner, maybe.

I have exploring the ideal of buying a PSD, I'm mainly looking for gas mileage. This will be my work truck, driving 60 miles around trip, about 80% highway and 20% city. Speeds about 65 mph. What kind of mileage can I expect?
I know you have change the oil about every 6000 miles, 15qu. a shot, what kind of oil to use, and how much?
Change fuel filters every 20,000 about $20.00, how many filters?
What else do I need to know about the PSD???
Thanks Stampede

Expect average fuel mileage of 16-20 mpg. (Dependent upon how heavy your foot is)
Change oil every 3000-5000 for best performance.
Typical Oil: Rotella or Delco 15w 40 oil. 15 Quarts.
Fuel filters every 10000 miles or less.

This is just a start. You must determine your current and future use and performance wants or needs? i.e., gauges, exhaust, intake, performance tunes, chips, etc.

Do a search to answer your immediate questions on any of the above. Otherwise, this could be a very long and confusing thread for ya!

Stampede,

I do the same 70 miles a day round trip to work and am averaging 19-20 mpg (now that I have found a diet plan for my right foot!).

Like heatstroked said do a search for just about any topic and you're sure to find an answer or two!
