I like the Racho RS9000X's. Although I don't do a whole lot of off-roading (the passengers in the bed whined about the tough ride recently! It was much better loaded with cord wood)
They are a huge step up from my originals (old but only about 60k on the shocks) The adjustments make a huge difference when loaded. Rides and handles well with an ancient slide-in camper and when empty. They run a 4 for 3 special in the Spring or early summer. I only paid 208 including shipping from samsoffroad.com for a set of 4. At that price you could double them up, but I don't think you need to.
If you want to put the quad shocks on front do it with a matched set. If you mix stock with rancho your going to distroy both! The compression and rebound rates of the stock shocks are going to be way different than the ranchos. This will cause the two to work against each other! NOT A GOOD IDEA! If I were you I would either put 2 stocks on each corner or 2 ranchos on each corner. Hope this helps
