Sticky Brakes?

This was strange. Backed my '82 F150 2wd out of a mall parking spot, shifted into first and as I let the clutch up I felt there was some resistance in moving forward, checked emrg brake, wasn't on. Gave it a bit more gas as I let the clutch out and I could hear the rear tire(s) spinning in the wet, then all was back to normal. Drove around for a while but couldn't replicate the problem. Any ideas?
Thanks

You could check your emergency brake cables to see if they are releasing the brakes all the way. My '80 F250 had cables that corroded and froze up which caused the brakes to drag.

my 83 did the same thing except one wheel locked up and the other didnt have enough traction to get me out of the street after i backed out of the drive. i replaced my cables just a couple years before. i am gonna grease the cables up good and hopefully it wont happen again. i had to push the center of the cable back to get the brake to release at the equalizer on the frame. not fun inthe middle of the street in freezing temps with a 20 mph wind after i just got up.

Yeah, I just replaced the left rear cable on my 90 Bronco today. Sounds like the same problem. Cheap and easy fix if you don't mind taking the brake apart to connect the new cable.

Don't know on your year but I had a minor problem on mine. There's a bracket holding the two rear cables to the frame that is connected by a self-tapping screw, the head turned off when I tried to remove. Maybe some wd-40 would've been a good idea.
