SUPERDUTY COMPETITION!
I have posted several posts while trying to help by buddy "tweak" his new/used '99 S/D PSD. I am afraid I have created a monster. He is now trying to out do me! He says he's going to get a chip and teach me a lesson
That is the only thing HE thinks can be done to a PSD
I guess I'll keep my mouth shut, and when he gets his "chip", I will have no alternative than to go with the SCMT, down pipe, monster exhaust, twin turbos, propane, nitrous, injectors, HX mods, and everything else you can to to teach a lesson to a big headed ego driven friend. I guess some lessons come the hard way
If I knew it was going to get this crazy, I would have pushed him to buy a Volkswagen! DANG, this is going to get expensive

ESOF? Did someone say ESOF? I knew why I woke up so early; my ears were ringing from knowing I missed an ESOF comment... I agree with making sure he gets it; it is so "convenient"
(For those who know of the great ESOF debate in prior posts, I am basically ripping on myself; figured I would do it before Yeti or one of the others did it even worse).

I am definitely having reverse ESOF envy now!
I am sure glad my buddy doesn't get FTE, since he has manual hubs, If he found my post on my failing ESOF, it would just give him ammo he should not have

This dude would probably believe it! I think I am just going to let him do his thing, then I'll just have to go a little bit further and add a few more things to mine.....without telling him of course. Then when his S/D STILL can't keep up with mine, he will think he has just wasted time and money with poor results.....yea, that's it. He will never know what hit him

But seriously, no.....really, seriously I was over at my buddy's last night just plain BSing and we think the truck may already be "chipped" or "SCMT'd" since it seems to pull real hard. How can I tell if it has a chip? He actually wants to get a SCMT, but wants to know....as well as do I, if it has been chipped, will the SCMT erase everything and reprogram from the start, or will there be some kind of conflict with his brain ( the one in the truck)

As far as the scmt, I don't really know how to tell if it was done or not, maybe Ken Payne can hel you with that one.
