cruise control not working

i have a friend who's cruise control on his 95' bronco quit working, he said that he took all the fuses out & they were all good? any ideas, thanks

check the brake light switch. it is a multi purpose switch that turns on the brake lights unlocks the torque converter and disengages the cruis control.

CRUISE CONTROL

My cruise on my 1992 quit and the culprit was the instrument cluster was bad .It would engage some times but not hold What a pain that was .TR

I have a '95 and when my cruise stopped, it was a simple brake pressure switch, which is located on top of the master cylinder. Just disconnect the plug and look at it. If there is brake fluid in it, you need to replace it. Minimal cost, 2 minute job. Cruise works fine now. Search these forums for more info - that's how I found out about it in the first place. From what I understand, the cruise control needs this switch to work because that is what tells the cruise that you have stepped on the brakes.
