Well, I figured it would be obvious enough for people to assume what I meant, but that's my fault. Just to be clear for sure, we are talking about the Christian God here, not Zeus or some other god.
Now wait a minute true4.2! Whether the earth was created by a God or through evolutrion, the big bang theory, or some combination of many events, earth has been around way longer than Christianity. Therefore (if God created the earth) God has existed long before Christianity. Therefoe God is not just the "Christian God"! God (if he/she/it exists) is universal and claims no single religious sect!

Of course. Use a proven marketing team and the private jet, multiple homes and best seller books will be in place before you know it. A mix of Presbyterian Christianity including the all important born-again feature with politically correct conservatism and self-help weight loss seems to be a hot formula.

Hi georgedavila,
Can you come up with a winning formula for us atheist fuzzy-puppy killers?

Just remember that believers aren't real picky about credentials or accuracy. Simply misspell atheist fuzzy-puppy killer as altruistic former commie killer and let the speech/sermon writing team do their job. All you're after is heading a few million mythology believers towards your coffers, doing a year or less in a federal rest stop to refine your tennis game and then living a life of complete luxury surrounded by wooden fuzzy puppies (to each his own). Don't forget to check off all the choices in any poll.
Having a single eye in the middle of a forehead and wearing standard sunglasses does set one apart from the crowd. Are there a lot of wooden dog people people in Elgin? Carl Hiaasen
never mentioned that in his books. A good team could create a profitable following on that concept. Well, any concept.

Pretty much the whole Old Testament happened before Christianity started. That is, if you define Christianity as believing the events of Christ's life.
Now, you can reinterpret Christianity to mean all those that believe in God are Christians. If God is the father, the Son and Holy Spirit then Jesus has always existed and those who believe in the God of the Old Testament must also believe in Jesus. In that case, if you believe the Holy Bible and its version of events, you are correct...Christianity has been around since the beginning.
However, the people who claim to descended from the Old Testament Patriarchs (e.g. Jew and Muslims) will have some level of disagreement with your reformulation of Christianity. I also think most Christians would find fault in your definition.
As for me, this is completely an academic exersize as I don't believe the Bible as the word of God.
