My Favourite is one of the ways Z (when I was dressed as Santa ) I see Greek people Greek:
Kala Christouyenna
Hope your holidays are fulfilling in whatever way you celebrate.
Merry Christmas
Satan and his demons believe in God, or so says the Bible.
And based on all my studying and reading, Christmas was, for the most part, a secular holiday season co-opted by The Church. The celebration of Christmas is not mentioned in the Bible. It is not ordained or sanctioned by God (or Christ)
We, as Christians, CHOOSE to celebrate the birth of Christ at this time of year.
The way I see it, that's about as far as it goes.
Christmas is, in fact, as much about "everything else" (Santa, giving gifts, mistletoe, holly, etc.) as it is about celebrating the birth of Christ.
George is correct, X does represent Christ in X-mas. Perhaps you see nefarious intent where (perhaps) none exists?
As for me and my family,we celebrate CHRISTmas (Christ's birth) as well as Christmas (Santa and his 8 reindeer).
Merry Christmas all!
Nascarjunkie,

Just a thought about the entire word.....
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
"X-mas" is very disrespectful to those who are Christians, because its not about "X" or anything else. It's about the birth of Christ, hence the name "Christ"mas.
Its just an abreviation that predates Carl Marx. (Oh no, another x)

BTW, has anyone ever heard of Candlemas?
Like I said, if you don't like it, YOU have every RIGHT and CHOICE to LEAVE.
Prayers are not stupid, if you had faith, you would know. There is a choice, you do it or you don't. I don't pray near as often as I should, and I know it, but I try to when ever I can.
Our country was founded on Christian principles, and sadly today, many people don't remember that. Our ancestors did not fight for people to forget.
You have your freedom of choice, nobody is pressing Christianity on you, but if you try to stop someone else from practicing theirs, then that is wrong.
You're either saved or you're not. Its up to you which path you choose.
In a catholic school, yes I agree. But in a public school, someone just can't leave and you have no right to force your religon on someone else
[QUOTE]I'm sure it was, but this ain't 1776 anymore.[QUOTE]
Really? Gollee, the only thing that's changed is time and technology. I'm sure all those soldiers over in Iraq fighting for us would love to meet you and hear your opinion.
[QUOTE]That sounds hypocritical. I don't believe in god, so your praying is offending my belief and that is wrong.[QUOTE]
So you're saying, you're right and everybody else is wrong.
Well, you obviously don't understand what being hypocritical is. I believe. You obviously and proudly don't. That's YOUR choice, NOT MINE.
How is that hypocritical????? Where is it???? I thought so. And nobody is holding a gun to your head saying you better believe. So, no, nobody is FORCING it on you. You make no sense. If my praying offends you, then your wacky responses offend me. If you're gonna blasphemy something, look up your info before you say anything.

1. No calling the beliefs of others stupid or mythical.
2. No telling others if they don't believe what you believe, they are going to hell.
The self-righteousness on both sides needs to end (especially when not following the signature guidelines). FTE is not a soapbox for anyone's brand of religion, or lack there of.
