400 - 351W Swap

Hello, I have a '77 f150 2wd with a 400 and auto. I am wanting to swap out the 400 with a 351w. Would the mount towers work in their current location? Was a 351W an option in '77? I am curious about the motor mounts, the only mounts I find are for a 302. Also would I be able to swap the bellhousing from an AOD to the C6 so I could use the C6 with the 351? I do have a torque conv. from a bronco I had (302, C6, 4x4). Sorry to be asking all these questions. I just bought this truck yesterday for $350, drove it home and today I have water in the oil.

Thanks for any and all advice.

Jamie

P.S.
Would I have to change out my rear-sump pan on the 351 for a front sump?

Wink swap

just did this swap on a 79 f150 you can use the 302moter mounts they work fine . you cant change the belhousing on a c6 so you have to find a new trans . a front or dubble sump fan of a 89 fits that rad mite be different depends on if you have the big ger cooling system every thing else is easy ...so have fun
