351M/400 Frame stands should work. if not available L&L you'll need L&L insulators(mounts)
Will the alt & power steering pump brackes from the 2wd work?
The Alt will not fit with Factory Brackets. it will hit the crossmember. L&L
The PS brackets need to be from a truck. where the pressure hose comes out of the pump(close to the steering box!), some will bend the bracket up to provide more clearance. that's not me. If you can come by a set of saginaw brackets & pump(off some Lincolns). & change the hose end.
Will need a 351/400 bellhousing, 390 flywheel & clutch. You'll need a 351M/400 or 460 Bellhousing, clutch, cover. (as far as I know 390 flywheel won't fit a 460.
Rear sump pan.
A pan from a E350 with 460 will work nicely, or later "81 & later F250/350 w 460, they are rearward sump(not all the way at the rear but enough to work great)
I will probably buy thier headers!
these are great headers, I'm still on my first set after twenty years. but I live in CA.
Factory 351/400 frame mounts will work but the 460 engine mounts would need to be modified. Easiest way is to get the 460 truck towers.
The bell housing from a 351M/400/429 or 460 will work but I can't see the 390 flywheel working.
Since you have the whole donor truck you should have any trouble with brackets, just swap it all from the 460 truck and you should be good.
Have fun
My truck has an auto, sorry. The only thing I could think of is look up the clutch setup for a 79 2wd pickup. ZZZ-MU1011-1 is what they show at summit racing. Not sure on what year of flywheel would fit your truck though.
I just got L&L's fenderwell headers for my 460 swap w/C6. (ditched a 351m) After dropping in the engine, I realized I should have stuck the headers in first. Looks like my easyest option now is to loosen the front clip and tilt it forward to slip the headers in between the fenderwells and the frame. Might have to undo the steering shaft too, not sure yet. But yeah the headers look tough as nails.

Ford didn't offer a manual transmission on a F Series truck with a 460 engine till 1983. No cars w/460's ever came with a M/T.
What we used to do prior to 1983 was use the Mustang/Torino 429 manual trans clutch parts & flywheel because there was nothing else available then.
