I always was a chrafstman kinda guy.. until recently. The past few 3/8" ratchets of theirs had been stripping out. No big deal lifetim warranty i will just go get it replaced right? Well they replace them with the remanufactured ones or whatever, and sure enough those stripped too. i don't know maybe i am just hard on the ratchets.
So i waited for the snap on man, and bought a set of 1/4" and 3/8" ratchet and socket sets, these things are sweet. no problems whatsoever. i guess you get what you pay for. live and learn

Get some of them pants with all the pockets, fill your pockets and ride on.
When you stop, with all you chopper buddies around, don’t get off the bike,
if ya do the weight of the tools will drop you pants to you ankles.
I do not know this from experience, but never drop you pants in a chopper group

Yup. I just love going into sears and being handed a reman unit that has grease oozing out of the head on the ratchet, or that the handle is half ground off by the p.o.
Snap on for me too.
Look in my User Gallery. You'll See. I think I put Snap On's Kid thru College!
Actually I get a pretty good deal as the snap on dealer is a long time friend. He Shows me his cost, and then marks up about 5%.
Pretty darned Nice of him I think!
I think when I get goin on my apprenticship that i will be buying snap on. Yes its expensive, but I know they are quality tools, and they will ALWAYS be around
