Question Wiper Blade preference

I'm looking to replace my wiper blades. What size and make is everyone using? I'm looking for a good all season blade that is also good with snow. I hate having to stop along the road when it's snowing to bang the wiper blade against the windshield to get rid of the snow and ice buildup....

If you find a wiper that doesn't build up w/ snow and ice, please post it... I can't even remember how many brands/shapes I've tried, but New England winters seem to win out. I understand why wipers are designed to fail after 6 months to a year (so I'll keep buying them), I just don't get why someone hasn't built better ones.

Anco winter blades are good for the build-up problem, but at highway speeds they act like airplane wings.

I hear a lot of people swear by Bosch.

But I personally think they are all about the same. Replace them often for best performance.

I've lived in winter conditions all my life. First in Canada, then in Buffalo. I've found the winter blades are no more better than the standard blades that come with the vehicle. However, I have found that usually the hardware that comes stock from the factory tends to work best in conforming to the shape of the window. I used to have all kinds of problems with replacement blades. Sometimes AAnco would work sometimes Bosch would work.
Now, I keep the original hardware that came with the car or truck, and just buy new rubber inserts. A bit more of a pain to replace, but the results are worth it.

I've tried them all and I still go back to Anco's...just seems that they last longer and work better...personal preference I guess...
