Water filter
In a previous thread, a poster referred to a water filter. I looked for one on my '97 but can't see it. Does the '97 come equipped with a filter and if so, where would it be? Maybe he was referring to an aftermarket filter..

There was no water filter from the factory. Any reference to one was made to an aftermarket filter. I originally bought mine from NAPA, the filter head and filter. Then, when I changed my water pump, I went with the international pump which comes with a filter built in the bottom of it.
The NAPA filter is really a great idea, there needs to be some kind of filtration. And it's real easy to install, taps into the heater hoses.
